=============================
Farming Incetol, Devout of the depths
=============================
----------------------------
Step 1 : running to the zone
----------------------------
First off you have to get to the right zone, Start from the Leviathan pit and use the northern exit. Once outside run NE to Rhea's Crater. Check the image for the route.

---------------------------------------
Step 2 : getting Incetol out in the open
---------------------------------------
Once you get into the zone simply head up towards the res spot and you should be able to see him. This part can be a little tricky, but is by no means difficult. Hug the wall and cast Ether Feast on the closest enemey. That will draw out Incetol and 1-2 of his followers.

Note: be aware that there is another patrol that walks where Incetol is, you want to just leave those guys alone.

Now you should have Incetol and 1-2 of his guards following him. There are a few ways to kill these guys.

Step 2.1 : The pulling way

One way you can kill these guys is simply by playing with the aggro, i.e running around until you only have 1 following you. You can kill them off quite easily this way.

Step 2.2 : The Oni way

The second way to kill Incetol's guards is to run back close to the res point and then head up the ridge. Three Oni will spawn and will gain interest in the enemies chasing you. That takes care of those two guards and you can get right to killing Incetol, this is my prefered method, and is the fastest if done right. However it may take a while to learn how to get it just right.

--------------------
Step 3 : The Battle
--------------------
This is probably one of the easiest bosses to kill. Simply run up to Incetol and use dolyak sig, then immediately after use Spirit shackles. At 10 inspiration Spirit Shackles lasts 21 seconds, the recharge on Dolyak sig is 20 seconds. I use Dolyak sig as my timer, every time I cast Dolyak sig I cast Spirit shackles right after. This way I can constantly keep Spirit Shackles on Incetol. Be sure to use Ether Feast if your health starts to get low, also using it a few times at the beginning can help drain him a little faster. Other than that you just hack away at him.

----------------------
My comments on the build:
I choose swords moslty for the bleeding and with dragon slash it keeps up a fairly high DPS. I'm 100% certain this could be done with axe or hammer, I just havent tested those yet.

I spent about 2hrs the other day testing different builds and this one is the easiest and fastest warrior build I could make. The runs from the zone take about 3-5mins and the drop rate has been about 1/10 for me.

The chronological order for the attachments are 'setup', 'route', 'pull', 'onis', then 'focus inventory'.

Feel free to post your experience with the farming build, and if you have any other builds for effectivly farming Incetol.

Nice stuff! Does this farm work with a Wammo? cause if it does it will save me 500 bucks from changing professions I'm a bit low on cash at the moment and really stingy with my money.

I dont think it will work with a wammo, its VERY important to drain his energy. theres no way a warrior can out dmg his healing, In my opinion.
thats why w/me is so important.

eh wait a minute....are you saying the profession changer in Senji's Corner is charging to change prof? I never saw a 'xxx takes 500 gold from you' in the dialogue box and never noticed it.....have I been giving away 500 without knowing it? EEK!??!?

inconvenient work around: going back to the desert to do it there

He only charges 500g for the first time you change to a certain profession. Example of that is my W/N can become a silly wammo for 500 and change back for free and vise versa. Thanks for the guide btw i was looking for a focus item for my monk

Default Caster Alternative - Incetol Focus Farming

Caster's Alternative

Comment on mattjones527's Warrior Build:
I like your build but when I tried this with my warrior, with your run I ran into a lot of problems, the biggest one was aggro - since this guy has patrols roaming around - because of this I found myself having to kill each and everyone of them - (pain the ass!) .

Finally when I managed to get him on his own I ran into alot of energy problems and eventually I got wanded to death -.- (my equipment was gladiators armour + zealous sword)

Because of this I decided to experiment a little.. i mixed and matched skills to create something that could withstand the aggro, kill boss and do it with the shortest time possible, however things didn't go so well for me on my warrior.

I then decided to try a casters build

Caster Pre-Tests and Notes
I started of running 55mo - running SoJ as elite, but unfortunatley that didn't work- I managed to take out all the patrols with ease - SoJ pawned them all - but when it came down to the boss ... his recovery was too fast and too great to be of any good.
I then tried 55necro running SS as elite, that worked fine - was able to cycle past his minions and kill them all with no problems. but with the boss I managed to get him to low health but annoyingly he recovered quite fast, i swear this guy has infinite energy.

The Build
After all those tests I agreed with mattjones527 decision to go e-denial and came up with the following:

Class:
N/Mes

Attributes:
Curses: 16 (12+3+1)
Inspiration: 12
Domination: 3

Skillset:
1/Spiteful Spirit
2/Price of Failure
3/Reckless Haste
4/Spirit Shackles
5/Energy Tap
6/Drain Enchantment
7/Revealed Enchantment*** (not necessary)
8/Distortion

Skill purpose : 1-4 are main skills for killing, 5 is for self healing, 6-7 is to take of his prot spirit and boost your energy, 8 is to protect you

Strategy is the same as mattjones527's but you will have to rely on the oni killing the patrols for you - there are occasions where there is a gap open where you can just aggro boss + one minion on his own. (if this is a warrior +assassin you can kill them both on your own, if it is any other you'll have to retreat or use oni to kill for you - this is because the warrior + asn dies relatively fast to the curse chain and incetol can't keep up the healing, deathband is too slow attacking and he'll survive whatever you throw at him if incetol is supporting him)

It may be tricky to get him to a suitable location but try to use the terrain to block his attacks, each run took me no more than 5 minutes using this build.

Screenshots:
first few attempts - note the Dealth Penalty! ... lol

More successful run:

EDIT: Wrong screenshot links, had to correct lol (^_^)

this one is VERY VERY VERY easy to 2 man farm. Just a pulling war with scourge healing and live vicariously, and ss'er with shivers, both with cold weapons.

have the ss'er sit kinda near where the oni's spawn (but not that far) and have the war pull them to the sser.

After about 15 runs, I got 2 in a row, and gave one to the ss'er.

I know we like to solo farm, but there are some bosses that are much easier with 2, and you'll get a green faster (even divided between both)

I have to add this after some experimentation. After each attempt it is best that you port back to Leviathan and run back to try again, rather than just porting into the hatchery and back again.

I spent like 6 hours porting back and forth to kill her and only see her drops dwindle to.. nothing.

So I decided to try doing whole runs instead and immediately on the next run, a focus!

It seems like if you rapidly port through the portal some anti farming mechanism will kick in. At least that's from my experience.

Have you tried using Spirit of Failure too? (maybe instead of Revealed Enchantment). I've been using a very similar build to farm a couple of Monk and Rit bosses (Flower Spiritgarden, Byzzr Wingmender, etc...) and it sinergises really well with Price of Failure and Reckless Haste, giving you a pretty powerfull energy engine. and since you're already specced in Inspiration...

What type of boss is this guy? I've been working on a couple of assassin builds to farm bosses...so far 2 or 3 of them are working well.

Hmmm.. nice work i use this exact build to solo the scar eater, only works if you have more luxon faction so the priest will heal you. also 3 oni spawn around there too and i can take those down. But i got no greens yet from both.

Very easy with N/Me

Inspiration 12
Curses 16
Soul reaping 4

Spiteful Spirit
Reckless Haste
Enfeeble
Price of Failure
Spirit of Failure
Spirit Shackles
Ether Feast
Barbs/Drain Enchant (whichever)

The general idea is to lure the warrior or assassin in front of Incetol and get him killed then lure Incetol himself. When you do so, hide around the corner or by the res shrine so his attacks always miss. Then use all your hexes (SS and Spirit Shackles being the most important) and he dies in less than 20 secs. Because he continues wanding, you get a good influx of energy from Spirit of Failure and he takes a lot of dmg from SS and Price of Failure.
